Contribution by Debit or Credit card

Q1. Can I make a contribution with different credit or debit cards?

Yes. Just make two separate donations using your 2 different credit/debit cards, so that the total of the 2 donations equals the overall amount you want to donate.

Q2. I have 2 separate contributions on the same card. Can they be joined?

Yes. Please send an email to info@priyan.nl requesting that they be joined into one contribution.

Q3. My credit card was compromised and this will affect my monthly contribution. What should I do?

Please start a new monthly contribution at the “Donate Now” button with your new card. Please ALSO send an email to info@priyan.nl to stop the contribution with the compromised card to make sure it will definitely not be processed again.

Q4. My attempt to make a contribution by debit or credit card was refused. Can I try again?

If you encounter this problem, please first try to empty the cache of your browser (i.e. Clear Browsing Data or History) or use another browser entirely, and then try again.

Q5. My contribution has been labelled as fraud and rejected by my bank. What to do?

Many banks have had a lot of problems with fraud. For this reason, banks sometimes block transactions from foreign entities that they are not sure of. You need to contact your bank and make it clear that this is a legitimate charge from Priyan, which will be handled by Merchant Bank BlueSnap. Tell them to accept this charge and any future charges to your account from Priyan

Q6. I made a mistake and now started 2 new monthly increases at the same time. What to do?

Email Priyan at info@priyan.nl and write “I have made a mistake” in the subject box and explain. Priyan will then fix the problem.

Q7. How do I stop my monthly contribution to Priyan by debit or credit card?

Please send an email to info@priyan.nl requesting to stop it. You will receive a confirmation of the cancellation.

Q8. When I make a monthly contribution, when does it start?

All contributions via the website are processed immediately. This is a security measure and cannot be changed. During the process you can choose the “Next date” you want the contribution to be processed. There are 3 options available: 1st, 10th or 20th of the next month. If you wish the next monthly payment to be made in a different month, email Priyan to let them know at info@priyan.nl.

Q9. If I donate using a card from a joint account can you see who the donation is actually from?

Yes the information will be taken from the name the donor entered on the donation form regardless of the credit card used

Q10. How do I update my debit/credit details if I have received a new card?

Email info@priyan.nl to stop the contributions with the old credit/debit card details and fill in a new donation form with the new details.

Other ways to donate

Q11. I do not want to use a debit or credit card for my contribution. What can I use instead?

You can make a contribution BY BANK / WIRE TRANSFER. Contributions can be made by bank/wire transfers in the following currencies: Euro, US$, British Pounds, Canadian dollars and Swiss francs. You will find the account information for different currencies by clicking "Bank Transfer" on the menu at the top of the home page. There are two banks listed: ABN AMRO and Banco Santander. Account information can be found for each bank by clicking its link. In Spain use the details for Banco Santander in Madrid In the rest of the world use the information for ABN AMRO. If you are making an international bank transfer, we recommend that you first check with your bank how to do it and what charges, if any, will apply.

Q12. Can regular payments be set up from bank accounts based in all countries.

Regular payments to one of Priyan’s bank accounts can often be set up from bank accounts in most countries in Europe. However, it’s highly recommended that you first check with your bank how to set it up and what charges, if any, are involved. It is not possible to set up a regular payment by transfer from outside Europe.

Q13. Will I get an acknowledgement for a bank transfer?

Yes, you will always receive an acknowledgement for every contribution you make to Priyan. This might take a few days.

Q14. I would like to make a cash contribution. Is that possible?

Unfortunately contributions in cash cannot be accepted.

Q15. Can I send a cheque to Priyan?

Priyan’s bank in the Netherlands no longer accepts cheques. Please send an email to info@priyan.nl and a member of staff will contact you to advise the best course of action.

Q16. Can I fax my form to Priyan?

No, we are sorry this is not possible. Priyan no longer has a fax line.

The amount you gave has been recorded as ($175). Many countries use a period or point to indicate a decimal, but in Europe a comma is used, so this is the format used by the Priyan website.

Q18. I can only foresee my finances for the next 6 months. Can I still make a monthly contribution?

Yes, a monthly contribution can run for as long as you request. Email Priyan at info@priyan.nl to let them know when you want to stop the contribution, or postpone it for some months.

Q19. I would like to include a contribution in my will to Priyan. Are there any specific instructions about doing this?

Please email your enquiry to Priyan at info@priyan.nl and you will receive further information.

Q20. Can contributions to Priyan be claimed for tax deduction?

No, Priyan is a private foundation and not a charity, and therefore contributions to Priyan are not tax deductible.

Q21. How do I access my individual Priyan account?

Go to the Priyan.nl website and press the ‘Register’ button located in the top right hand corner. Use the email address that was used to make a donation and follow the onscreen instructions. If you don’t know the email address you used to make a donation or you don’t have access to it then please send an email to info@priyan.nl to let us know. If you are new then you can register for your own account after your first donation
